  1. Hi! I found your blog from a comment you left on Simple Tom. I love the verse you gave him. I’m a Christian myself, and struggle with negativity, and I don’t know why it never occurred to me that that verse is God’s version of positive thinking. Seems like a no-brainer now that you put it out there! LOL I look forward to reading some of your stuff, and I’m following you now!

    • Thank you Rhonda. It is so true, as Christians we are just as likely to struggle from negative thoughts and outside forces as anyone else (maybe even a bit more as the enemy wants us to be poor witnesses and wants us to lose faith in God). I love the way you put it! Yes, indeed, “God’s version of positive thinking”. I actually have that verse on a little card over my kitchen sink so that when the negative bug hits, I look at it and try to find those lovely things to switch my mind to. It is not always as easy as it sounds, but it does encourage me a great deal of times and helps me to feel closer to Him during those moments. Thank you for following! Blessings to you!

  2. Belated Happy Easter! Sorry about the late response— thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.

Nowadays, everyday jesus is being crucified and there is no resurrection!
Everywhere in the world justice is being crucified by injustice and there is hardly anybody to care about it.
So, I see Friday in all weekdays and no easter at all.

    • Oh my dear friend. My heart goes out to you. I completely understand why you would feel that everyday is Friday. This tells me that you have experienced great amounts of grief, pain and injustice. I have also experienced great amounts of grief, pain and injustice in my life that is why I wrote in my post Author’s B-log, people have often told me I should write a book. Your life heartaches may be greater than mine but not too great for Jesus to release you and give you inner peace and joy. Our world indeed has many sorrows and pain. These are the effects of the sin God speaks of in the Bible. You probably already know mankind is capable of unspeakable evil. Jesus died for this sin and promises to restore our broken hearts and set those captive hearts free in this world and then give us eternal life with no more sorrow or pain or Fridays but only Sundays in the life beyond this world! That is the hope and the good news. Once you believe that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh come down to rescue and restore humanity, and ask Him to forgive you for your sins and ask Him into your heart, your present troubles may not cease but through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, you gain a new hope in this broken world. It is an inner peace and even a joy. For most of my life, I did not understand this peace and joy even though I had asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior until I began to dig into Scriptures and they became “alive” in my heart and soul. But I had to surrender my heart completely to Him and place my trust in Him and read His Word. My 27 year old son died 1 1/2 years ago. As if that wasn’t enough grief for a mother, during that time I was treated very cruelly by immediate family members over misconceptions and family secrets (another topic I plan a post on). I was grieving to the point I didn’t think I could go on anymore as I wrestled over my son’s death and these family members’ words and actions. I began to doubt God loved me as I struggled with so much inner turmoil and pain. I asked Him over and over to show me His love which He finally did by miraculously giving me such peace and joy that it truly surpasses all understanding as the Scriptures say in Philippians 4:7. 1 1/2 years later the situation with those family members have not changed yet I still can have the forgiveness for them and still have the peace and joy I never would have thought possible. I also gained peace from knowing my son is in Heaven with Jesus, I know my son had given his heart to Jesus. I really don’t know how a person who does not have this kind of hope can make it through life. In 2 Corinthians 11:23 Paul (the apostle who wrote most of the New Testament) talks about how much he had suffered for the faith. Yet throughout his writings Paul speaks of hope, peace and joy one can find through hope and faith in Jesus Christ. I pray this helps you, dear one, and that you may find the joy and love Paul speaks of. Blessings to you.
