How Does One Spell Love?

imageYes you do feel it, but love is something you

DO because of those feelings.

You spell love by the way you behave towards someone.

You act it out by putting actions to your feelings.

That is how you prove your love for someone. Continue reading

Made to Reflect His Love

image

Psalm 139

 You have searched me, Lord,
    and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
    you, Lord, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

Valentine, Don’t Settle. Accept His Love

Here is a little YouTube history of Valentines Day.  Enjoy!

If you are single, God knows you feel alone and left out and that Valentines Day is a painful day.

God also wants you to know that He genuinely loves you.

God wants you to be His and for you to accept Him as yours.

imageGod created the original valentine.  He gave Himself as a gift of love and redemption so that we could have a restored relationship with Him, and be partakers with Him in Heaven. Continue reading

To My Brother Mario

imageTo my dear brother Mario,

I just wanted to let you know that though we didn’t grow up together or have a chance to build brother-sister memories…

and you never made me cry…

or pull my hair…

or fought with me…

or drove me crazy…

or watched me succeed…

or saw me fail and laughed…

or scolded me… Continue reading

Does God Celebrate Christmas?

cropped-image5.jpg

Well, seeing how Christmas is a mixture of pagan and Christian traditions, I don’t believe God has a Christmas tree decorated with lights and cherubs.

I don’t believe He adorns the halls of Heaven with twinkling lights and bows of greenery.

I don’t believe the heavenly host rush around their kitchens making millions of divine delights for their annual cookie exchange.

I don’t believe God has shopping requests, or naughty or nice lists. (Though He does say all the names of those who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb have been written in His Book of Life)

I don’t believe December 25th is highlighted on God’s calendar.

God certainly is not a Santa, swooping down as earth sleeps, dropping gifts into chimneys. Continue reading

Celebrate Jesus This Christmas

imageDon’t let the world dictate your Christmas with its pressure to buy this and that at every turn.  Of all the toys and the gifts given this year, most will be forgotten or broken by next Christmas.  But, what is really going to matter in fifty or one hundred years? Or a thousand years!   Continue reading

He Lives Because Jesus Lives!

image

Thinking of you, son. You live in my memories.

I hang on to mementos and childhood memories of jokes, smiles and laughter.

I am grateful for silly boy tactics, bouquets of wilted weeds, and a boy’s imagination.

I am grateful for the precious boy’s face I looked into and the hands I held.

I am grateful for the many “I lub you, Mommy!” and “I’m hungry!” I heard throughout his childhood. Continue reading

How Precious Are You to God?

image

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

The worth of something is based on what someone is willing to pay for it.

Jesus thought you and I were worth the very living blood in His body.  He paid a great price for us because of His love for us.  Just as most parents would go to any length to pay a great ransom price if their child is kidnapped.

EXCEPT that we willingly walk away from God.  BUT—He still is willing to redeem us. Continue reading

A Pursuing God

AND I WANT TO BE PART OF IT

It never ceases to amaze me that the GOD OF ALL CREATION—THE ALMIGHTY CREATOR—Longs to be part of our lives.

In real estate it’s all about:

I Wish You Enough

imageRecently, I overheard a Father and daughter in their last moments together at the airport.  They had announced the departure.Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the Father said, ‘I love you, and I wish you enough.’The daughter replied, ‘Dad, our life together has been more than enough.  Your love is all I ever needed.  I wish you enough, too, Dad.’They kissed and the daughter left.  The Father walked over to the window where I was seated.  Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry.  I   tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, ‘Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?”Yes, I have,’ I replied.  ‘Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?’..
