When Rape Is Okay

Wow! What are these kids being taught at home!

When rape is okay

I want to thank Sisters of Power for this post. Even though I was horrified when I read this post, It definitely needs to be shared. Why are children being taught to believe such insane things? While no one wants to think their child is a predator, when we sweep such behavior under the rug, like my own mother did…we are in fact, breeding it. We are teaching our children that it is okay to rape.

“You’re a Stay-At-Home Mom? WHAT DO YOU DO ALL DAY?”

When I was the stay at home mom of 3 kids under 4, I spent all day making sure my kids tummies were filled, their dishes were washed (we didnt have a dishwasher), their clothes smelled fresh, their home was cleank safe and their toys were picked up, , their faces and bottoms were wiped, and their hearts were merry. I couldn’t wait till they took naps so I could have a downtime. My then-husband would come home and look at the pile of unfolded laundry on the bed and say, “What did you do all day?” I wish I would have said, “Sit down in your tidy house, eat your homemade dinner, and play with your well cared for kids.. I can’t tell you exactly all that I did, but I know it is an awful lot! because I am now exhausted” Motherhood is a non-ending job. I appreciate the way this man appreciates his wife and the mother of his kids.

This is a fabulous post, written by Matt Walsh on October 9, 2013. Kudos to him for putting his wife and all ‘Stay-At-Home’ Mom’s on a pedestal. What a great post! Don’t just read it here, check out his site and see what he’s up to at > The Matt Walsh Blog.

You’re A Stay-At-Home Mom? WHAT DO YOU DO ALL DAY?”

It’s happened twice in a week, and they were both women. Anyone ought to have more class than this, but women — especially women — should damn well know better.

Need Help Liking The Bible?

imageHappy Saturday everybody.

When I find something of great value I like to share it.

That is why I have spent countless hours telling stories of how God has transformed me from a person who felt meaningless and unwanted to a person who realizes that God, the Creator of the universe, the All Mighty, All Powerful God–is also my Father.

He redeemed this unwanted, forsaken, sinful, selfish, forgotten, fatherless self–ME–into His kingdom through the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son.

So now I can say,

“I got a Daddy!” Continue reading

Hand the glass over.

GodGirl's avatarIt's a God thing...

A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they’d be asked the ‘half empty or half full’ question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired: “How heavy is this glass of water?”
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it’s not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn’t change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.”
She continued: “The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for…

Question: Stepping Down From Leadership

I think this is excellent. One does not have to be in a church ministry for this to apply. After all, aren’t we all called to minister to each other?

Anonymous asked:

Currently, I am a Bible Study teacher for high schoolers and also one of the praise leaders for the college ministry in my church.   I am in a habitual sin [porn addiction]. Should I step down as a leader until I am not struggling with this anymore?

If you would’ve asked me this a few years ago, I would’ve definitely told you to turn in your badge and hand over your Bible.

These days, I don’t make so many blanket-statements and I’m trying to see things on a case-by-case scenario.  I don’t say this so you can do what you want, but I’ve seen plenty of flawed leaders serve through their issues just fine, so long as they’re taking steps to repent and overcome.  They didn’t just confess and stay complacent — they confessed and made forward progress.

However, you must tell this to your pastor and…

Husband’s Grace, Beats a Stick in the Eye!

image

THIS IS THE WAY WE WASH OUR CLOTHES

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.  The next morning while they were eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.

“That laundry is not very clean; she doesn’t know how to wash correctly.  Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.”

Her husband looks on, remaining silent.  Every time her neighbor hangs her wash to dry, the young woman makes the same comments. Continue reading

The Acrobatic Fish

“Mommy, Mommy, look! That fish is walking on the grass? Look, Mommy!” My young son yelled.

“A. Fish. Is. Walking,” said my oldest daughter Rachel, twisting her face into a puzzled look.

Hannah ran over to me in amazement of the unbelievable sight.

“Mom! The fish’s walking on his head!”

I was puzzled by their statements. My eyes traced my daughter’s pointing arm to the patch of grass on the other side of the running creek, about twenty feet away. There, as plain as day, was a strange sight.

A seven inch sunfish, head down, tail straight up, moved up and down along the grass as if it was walking on its head. Continue reading
