Spiritual heart transplant – Max Lucado
This is absolutely beautiful. As a mother who lost a son I was touched, and even more so because my son’s heart also lives in someone today. While his spirit lives in Heaven, his heart lives and gives life on earth!
A few years ago I contacted Max Lucado to ask his permission to translate his daily devotionals from MaxLucado.com. He was quite happy about it and he wrote back:
“It is a wonderful honor to be a part of this valuable website. God loves all the people of Romania . It is my prayer that every single person of this great nation discovers the love of God and the gift of Jesus Christ. Thank you for allowing me to share a word and, Lord willing, lift a heart.” Max Lucado.
I was overwhelmed by the fact that Max Lucado wrote to a kid like me. Wonderful. Speechless.
I’ve created a blog, Max Lucado Romania, where we translated some of his devotionals. We stopped for a while but we started again a few weeks ago. He’s playing with the words and illustrates deep Biblical truths in a way that…

She wasn’t being rude
I have been working on a novella called Black Coat with a Silver Lining about a homeless man named Nick, so I was really touched when I read this and wanted to share it with you. I hope you enjoy this story.
My receptionist Ericka was in tears. The caller had said some pretty mean things, and she’s sensitive to what people say to her. She thrust the phone towards me, and pleaded for me to deal with it, “She doesn’t understand we don’t have any appointments available and, anyway, we’ll be closed in 45 minutes.” Some lady’s dog hadn’t “eated” in 4 days, and so she thinks she’s really pretty sick, and what was I gonna do about it? On such a hectic afternoon, I was glad to take the load off the front desk, and proceeded with the best defense being a good offense. “So he hasn’t eaten in 4 days? Wow, you rushed right in! What makes you think it’s serious now” The colloquialism of her words and accents made it difficult to understand, even for a small town Missoura hick like myself, but I did make out something…

Beauty in the Eye of the Photoshopper

As women, we are bombarded with beauty and perfection at every turn and every time we look at a magazine or a billboard. We are being deceived.
Young girls feel tortured and condemned every time they look at themselves in the mirror. No matter how naturally beautiful a woman is, she cannot ever compare to the artificial beauty we see in those pictures, and often feel something is wrong with us.
Even worse, men are also deceived. Many men of all ages compare their girlfriend’s and wives to the unrealistic pictures they see and feel they have somehow been cheated.
If you are a woman of any age, understand that the beauty that God offers us is genuinely much more than skin deep, but heart and soul-deep. Let’s help your daughters and sisters to see that. Please share this.
I grew up in a home where a person’s looks was highly elevated, so I know this type of pain well.

He Lives Because Jesus Lives!
I hang on to mementos and childhood memories of jokes, smiles and laughter.
I am grateful for silly boy tactics, bouquets of wilted weeds, and a boy’s imagination.
I am grateful for the precious boy’s face I looked into and the hands I held.
I am grateful for the many “I lub you, Mommy!” and “I’m hungry!” I heard throughout his childhood. Continue reading

Poignant Pigs
Warning, if you go on to the Tyson video, it is extremely gruesome. Even if animals in the meat plants are destined to be slaughtered, their is no need to treat them so cruelly. I could not bare to watch the whole video.

An innocent Baby Pig

On our news this morning, came a story that I could not wait to share with all of you.
It could not wait until ” Good News” Sunday, so now, I must find, hopefully, another one for that day!
This story concerns a video of extreme animal abuse, that became a public video and exposed a company and their supplier for the horrific treatment of animals.
Tyson Foods really had no choice, once they had been exposed and the supplier caught in this heinous behavior, but to end their relationship with them.
Personally, I believe that if they had not been caught “on film,” they more than likely would still be doing business with them.
As the story explained, Tyson Foods has “dropped” an Oklahoma Supplier for extreme cruelty to the pigs it slaughters.
There is something so insane about that sentence.
Anyway……
The heroes in this story are a group called Mercy For…

An Unlikely Dream
Joseph wasn’t unlike some teenagers of today. His father’s overt favoritism left him with that strong sense of entitlement—
“I really am all that.” “It really is all about me.”
Jacob, Joseph’s father, AKA Israel, made Joseph an expensive and fancy coat to–well–die for. Almost.
God had plans to use Joseph to save the nation of Israel, but first Joseph needed a humbling period.
Joseph needed to mature. The enrollment into the University of Hard Knocks began. Continue reading

May The Lord bless you!
