From the Father’s Perspective

image

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

A mess?

A weak person?

A sinful person?

A damaged person?

Do you see an insignificant person?

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

Because of our inherited sin we can be all those things, but when you look through God’s perspective, through His eyes… it’s different.

I love the following verse, it portrays the heart of God.

Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But that is not what God desires; rather, He devises ways so that a banished person does not remain banished from Him. 2nd Samuel 14:14 NIV

Well, guess what else God sees?

Because God loves you, He sees all who come to Him

through eyes of love and grace.  His love.

He does not see what we see at all!

He sees through the eyes of His son, Jesus,

who is called the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that He can open the scroll and its seven seals.”  Revelation 5:5

Next time you catch a glimpse of yourself and you don’t like what you see, look at yourself through the eyes of God instead.
