20 Things You Might Not Know About Me Blog Tag Challenge

Booklovers1 tagged me to a blog challenge 20 Things You Might Know About Me Blog Tag .  I thought I would try it and pass the tag on to several bloggers.  Blog challenges can be a fun way to get to know each other. I enjoyed getting to know some personal things about Booklovers1. She has a great blog in which she reviews books, music, even a few movies and more.  She is the super sweet lady who reviewed my book Black Coat with a Silver Lining a while back. 

Here are the Tag Challenge questions and my answers:

Question 1: How tall are you?  I am definitely taller than most women.  This greatly bothered me when I was much younger as I wanted to look feminine and petite, but it sure comes in handy when I need to grab something off the top shelf!
Question 2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?   Well, if it’s hidden I wouldn’t know. LOL.  I do tend to enjoy all sorts of arts and crafts.  I gave my walls a Mediterranean texture with drywall mud, and put up Italian tile in my kitchen and they turned out pretty well. I have done many other things I never really tried until I did them.  I guess the best way to find out if you have a hidden talent is to try something new!
Question 3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?  That I don’t have enough time to go on more of the blogs I would love to read.  As for a pet peeve about my own blogging experiences, it’s when I have combed through my post several times, hit publish, then later find some obvious errors.
Question 4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?  It really bugs me when people assume things about another person without ever talking to the person first.  The person could be going through the midst of a tragedy or have simply had a bad day.   Another one is when a store checker excessively chit-chats with the person in line in front of me and I have to be somewhere quickly.
Question 5: What’s your favorite song?  I do love many songs, especially “Mary, Did You Know” considering Christmas is just around the corner.

Question 6: What’s your favorite Etsy shop that isn’t yours?  Had to look that one up so I guess I don’t have a favorite.
Question 7: What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?  I like to read, listen to music, talk to God, or write.
Question 8: What’s your favorite junk food?  It used to be Hostess cupcakes, until I found out they had so much high fructose corn syrup in them.  Ice-cream would have to be my super favorite.  Rocky Road, or Jamocha Almond Fudge, or Strawberry Cheese(cake) Louise, or Mud Pie, or Fudge Brownie.  These are the ice-cream flavors I like most.  I don’t even read the label anymore to see if they have HFCS now (so as not to spoil it for myself) because I hardly ever buy ice-cream, so it’s a super special treat when I do have it.
Question 9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?  A Peek-a-poo and  a Yorki-poo, names in order are Oliver and Sofi.
Question 10: What are your number one favorite non-fiction and fiction books?  There are too many to have any particular favorites.  But the last soul stirring book I read was The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.  This novel is not Christian. It was highly recommended and it turned out to be a very well written story of a shattered heroine who found unlikely healing. As for a Christian author, I love all of Mary DeMuth’s fiction.
Question 11: What’s your favorite beauty product?  Coconut oil, olive oil and frankincense oil. I also like Insta-Natural’s line.
Question 12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?  It has been quite a while but it was when I ran errands all over town with a black sweater inside out and with a long white tag sticking straight up from my neckline. I even when to the chiropractor.  I don’t know how he could have not said anything.  It was at my last errand that the lady in line behind me pointed it out.
Question 13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?  Oolong or green tea sweetened with Stevia and lots of ice, or maybe a virgin strawberry daiquiri with chunks of strawberries in it.
Question 14: What’s your favorite movie?  Imitation of Life is one of my favorites.  Have a tissue box ready if you decide to watch this classic.
Question 15: What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?  I’d say a cross between a nerd, an artist, and a loner.
Question 16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?  I would like to live in Spain.
Question 17: PC or Mac? Both!
Question 18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse? Spent the day together with hubby last Sunday. Went to church, then hurried to pick up supplies to put our Samaritan’s Purse Christmas boxes together and rushed back to church to drop the boxes off, then out to a late lunch at a delicious restaurant, then walked around a two story mall and laughed at silly things.  They were very simple things but we had the best time we have had in a long time.  For me, the most romantic gesture came from hubby’s willingness to shop around and laugh at silly things with me.
Question 19: Favorite celebrity?   Off the top of my head I’d say Denzel Washington and Jennifer Garner.
Question 20: What blogger do you secretly want be best friends with?  There are many bloggers out there I think it would be fun to get to know in person.
